SMALL PORT PROJECTS OF SAINT ANNA BEACH – OP "Fisheries & Sea" 2014-2020

For the implementation of the project "SMALL PORT PROJECTS OF SAINT ANNA BEACH" the preparation of a relevant study was assigned to a private port engineer-engineer, which after being approved with the no. 283/11-06-2010 decision of the (former) NA Evia was submitted to the competent authorities and all the required permits were obtained. It was then submitted by the Region St. Greece's proposal for inclusion of the project in the Operational Program "Fisheries and the Sea 2014-2020" of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food. The project was joined with the sub. No. 1762/07.08.2020 Decision to join Priority Axis 1: "Promotion of environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based fisheries" of the Operational Program "Fisheries and the Sea 2014-2020" in the Measure 3.1.23, with OPS Code 5044919 and Title of Deed "SMALL PORT PROJECTS OF AGIAS ANNA BEACH (FISHING SHELTER) EVIA PROVINCE" for an amount of €6.955.000,00.

The project was auctioned on 29-06-2021 and the contractor was the company "SICAP ATE" with an average discount of 41,94%, which on 27-12-2021 signed an agreement amounting to €4.045.662,42 for its implementation.

In the framework of the physical object of the project are included:

  • Windward breakwater with a total length of 135 m, average width of 35 m. and an average height of 5m. (at sea level) with an external shield of artificial Acropode concrete blocks, 6,30 m3 and weighing 15tn each.
  • A leeward jetty with a total length of 130 m, an average width of 4,50 m. up to 8,50m and 1,25m high. (from sea level) of artificial concrete blocks.
  • Beach piers with a total length of approximately 96,00 m.
  • 7,50m wide boat lifting-launching ramp. and 17m long.
  • Access road with a total length of 118 m and a width of 6,00 m from the coastal road to the coastal parking area of ​​the port.
  • Equipment of the platforms which includes 19 pcs. electric lighting masts (with 38 lamps) on the leeward pier and 9 pcs. lighting masts (with 9 lamps) on the coastal road, fire extinguishing network and 12 water-power supply pillars.

The port has the ability to dock at least 60 small and large fishing boats and fully covers the needs of the fishing fleet of Ag. Anna.

The project was completed on 27-12-2023 and handed over to the island's fishermen for use.
