EXTENSION OF GLYFA FISHING SHELTER OF PHTIOTIDAS PROVINCE - OP "Maritime & Fisheries" 2014-2020

For the implementation of the project "EXTENSION OF GLYFA FISHING SHELTER OF PHTIOTIDA PROVINCE" a study was drawn up which, once completed, was submitted to the competent services and all the required permits were obtained. It was then submitted by the Region of Central Greece for inclusion in the Operational Program "Fisheries and the Sea 2014-2020" of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food. With the no. 1466/09-07-2021 (ADA:9ΖΟ74653Σ-Ω7S) decision of the General Secretary of Union Resources and Infrastructure, the project was included in the above program with the amount of €2.032.000,00.

The project construction contract was signed on 31-05-2022 with the contractor "KEPA ATTICA ATE", for an amount of €1.283.295,59 (excluding VAT). For the proper and functional completion of the project, a supplementary contract was signed with the contractor on 19-04-22 in the amount of €183.544,69.

The physical object of the project includes:

  • Extension of the existing windward jetty by approximately 80,00 m. parallel to the coastline with a width of 7,00 m. At the jetty it is widened to 10,50 m. exterior of the project) from cellular artificial blocks.
  • Construction of a windward breakwater across the coastline 28,20 m long and 00 m wide to protect the shelter from waves.
  • Construction of a beach wall along the shoreline in the project area from intersecting shaft piles, approximately 86,00 m long.
  • Dredging of the port basin so that its useful depth is at least -3.0 m. in an area of ​​1,56 acres,
  • Protection of the existing parts of the project from undermining of its foundation by installing foot protection plates.
  • Construction of necessary electromechanical facilities (installation of electric lighting for the entire shelter, water supply and fire extinguishing network, installation of navigation lights and power and water supply boxes on boats).
  • Installation of the necessary equipment for the safe mooring of fishing vessels.

The initial contractual term is set at twenty-four (24) months from the day of signing the contract, i.e. ending on 31.05.2024.
