PRESS RELEASE // Presentation of the Region of Central Greece on Spanish state television
The Spanish state television "TVE1" and a crew of the most popular Spanish tourist show "Aqui la tierra", were hosted in Evia on the three days of January 15-17 as part of a targeted press trip, a product of the cooperation of the Spanish EOT with the Region of Central Greece.
The show "Aqui la Tierra" has more than 1.400.000 viewers per episode and negotiates new destinations with particular emphasis on the Cultural element of the regions it visits and their Gastronomy.
Evia was the first station of the show. In the presence of the Regional Governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, the - very promising - collaboration with the EOT of Spain and the Spanish State Television began. In particular, the filming of episodes of the popular show took place, which will be shown next month.
The green Monodry of the Municipality of Kymi Aliveriou, Nea Artaki and Evvoikos were the natural studios of the 3 episodes, with the quality of their people and products, confirming the choice of the Spaniards.
This action was also the beginning of the cooperation between the Region of Central Greece and the EOT of Spain with the ultimate goal of opening another quality tourist market.
The Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism and Culture, Fani Papathoma, said: "Being true to our Strategic Plan, part of which is extroversion and the opening of new markets, we immediately responded to the call of Spain's EOT and the extremely popular tourism show Aqui la Tierra for a televised trip in our unique Evia.
The infinitely beautiful natural beauties, the unsurpassed products, such as Kymi figs and the best seafood of the Mediterranean, the seafood of the Euboea, but above all the great people of our island, were our valuable tools and our best protagonists - ambassadors, exciting the experienced contributors of the Spanish show who left with the best impressions and with the promise of new episodes in the rest of Central Greece as well.
