PRESS RELEASE // MAINLAND GREECE REGION: Programming contract for school projects in P.E. Boeotia

A program contract was co-signed by the Regional Governor of Central Greece Fanis Spanos and the Mayors of Aliartos - Thespione Giorgos Arapitsas, Distomou - Arachovas - Antikyras Yiannis Stathas, Thebes Giorgos Anastasiou, Levadeon Dimitris Karamanis, Orchomenou Giorgos Tzavaras and Tanagras Vassilis Pergalias.

The purpose of the programming agreement is to define a cooperation framework between the Municipalities of the P.E. Boeotia and the Region of Central Greece, which has secured funding of 200.000 euros for the implementation of the project: "SMALL SCALE MAINTENANCE IN SCHOOL UNITS OF PE VIOTIA".

In particular, it is planned to carry out maintenance and upgrading of the infrastructure in the following school units of the P.E. Boeotia:

  • 8th Primary School and 1st High School of Livadeia of the Municipality of Levadea.
  • Special School in Kondito, Thebes, and 2nd primary school of Vagia, Municipality of Thebes.
  • Primary School of Thespion of the Municipality of Aliartos - Thespion.
  • Arachova High School of the Municipality of Distomo - Arachova - Antikyra.
  • Pavlos Primary School of the Municipality of Orchomenos.
  • Skurton Primary School of D.E. Dervenochorion of the Municipality of Tanagra.

After the signing of the program contract, Regional Governor of Central Greece Fanis Spanos said: "We are collaborating with the Municipalities of Aliartou - Thespia, Distomo - Arachova - Antikyra, Thivaia, Levadea, Orchomenos and Tanagra to improve school infrastructure in Boeotia.

»We are now proceeding with the maturation and tendering procedures of the project, which provides for works with a total budget of 200.000 euros in the 8th Primary School and the 1st Gymnasium of Livadeia, in the Special School in Kondito Thivas and the 2nd primary school in Vagia, in the Primary School in Thespion, in the Arachova Gymnasium, in Pavlos Primary School and Skurton Primary School. Our common goal is to improve school infrastructure for the benefit of our children."
