EXTENSION OF PEAR FISHING REFUGE OF PHTIOTIDAS PROVINCE - OP "Fisheries & Seas" 2014-2020

For the implementation of the project "EXTENSION OF PEAR FISHING REFUGE OF PHTIOTIDAS" a study was drawn up which, once completed, was submitted to the competent services and all the required permits were obtained. It was then submitted by the Region of Central Greece for inclusion in the Operational Program "Fisheries and the Sea 2014-2020" of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food. With the no. 1366/09-07-2021 (ADA:Ψ1Φ54653Σ-ΘΥΥ) decision of the General Secretary of Union Resources and Infrastructure, the project was included in the above program with the amount of €2.765.000,00.

The project construction contract was signed on 31-05-2022 with the contractor "KEPA ATTICA ATE", for an amount of €1.755.946,81 (excluding VAT).

The project concerns the expansion of the existing facilities and aims to increase the capacity and functionality of the existing fishing shelter, which will provide about 116 berths for fishing boats of various sizes and will be protected from the waves of the wider southern sector that attack the area of project.

The proposed projects briefly include the following:

  • Extension of the external protection project of the shelter (leeward jetty). The new section, approximately 70,0 m long, is located next to the existing windward jetty with a slight bend in its longitudinal axis.
  • Extension of the beach benches to a length of 40 m. to the west of the refuge.
  • Dredging works inside the port basin.
  • IT facilities.

The initial contractual term is set at twenty-four (24) months from the day of signing the contract, i.e. ending on 31.05.2024.
